BREAKING NEWS: Cambodian Mother, Two Young Children Die in Thailand Traffic Accident

Banteay Meanchey: The bodies of a Cambodian woman and her two young children have been repatriated after a car accident in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo Province, close to the border with Banteay Meanchey. The accident happened at around 10am on Thursday morning.

According to local police, 24-year-old Chuon Chankong, her three-year-old daughter and two-month-old son were killed when their taxi driver lost control of his vehicle at high-speed, went off the road and into a ditch. He died a few hours later.

Chuon hailed from Samaki Village in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet City. Together with those of here children, her body was returned to relatives at the Boeung Trakoun border gate for traditional funeral rites.
